David Thomas Cooke

Dave was kind, caring, honest, intelligent, gentle and loyal. We never had a cross word in all the years we worked together. He was one of the best teachers I’ve ever known. He treated everyone as an individual and with respect. He was always prepared to listen and give up his time to help someone. His students trusted him absolutely as did all those who worked closely with him and knew him. He was loved, admired, and respected. He was a truly gentle man who never put himself first.
I am going to miss him. We didn’t see much of each other recently, but that never mattered. When we spoke, it was as if we’d seen each other the day before. True friendship is like that, it seems.
